I find it strange that sometimes, I can't really speak to my family. I can meet people and make friends at the blink of an eye, but talk to my family? No siree. I am regarded as the bossy, older, eccentric, girl cousin to most people. And I think I know why too, because my interests are so different from the rest of my family (hell, they don't even know what anime is, really). While they play hockey, I'm drawing webcomics. See? Not really a perfect match. Though, I didn't have the chance of searching EHarmony for my relatives.
On the subject of relatives, my family hosted "Christmas in August" this year. It's our first time and I think it worked out just fine. I folded the napkins into rose-shaped oragami designs (hahaa) and thoroughly enjoyed it, I am proud of the fact that I can fold napkins. And I SHOULD BE. We ate lots of food, which is always good. This is the bonus of having Christmas in August with the big family and Christmas at Christmas with my close family...I get two AWESOME meals. Funny thing though, we assign certain parts of the meal to different family members, and my mom was supposed to do the meat, which she did. Aside from delicious beef tenderloin, she also made medditeranian beans, golden beet salad and pasta with homemade pesto. Gotta love Mom.
I'm thinking of writing a story for my brother. And not the whole damn thing at once, but write a chapter a week or something and gradually write him a little story. But now I have to think, okay what is he interested in? Will he like my weird characters? What genre shall it be? I'm thinking horror or suspense at least, just because he's never read any of that. And I will work on the first part today! Whilst doing laundry! Woohoo!
Of to launder the laundered laundry! PeterPiperpickedapeckofpickledpeppers. Apeckofpickledpepperspeterpiperpicked. IfPeterPiperpickedapeckofpickledpeppers, where'sthepeckofpickledpeppersPeterPiperpicked?
